The
Super Bowl has become a national holiday for
the most part. There is a long and rich history
of tremendous games played on these special
Sundays. The first game was played at the
Los Angeles Coliseum on January 15th 1967.
The Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas
City Chiefs 35 to 10. The MVP of the game
was hall of fame quarterback Bart Starr. In the 1970's
the game started rotating to different cities
every year. The Pittsburgh Steelers won the
most Super Bowl's in the decade with three.
The Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins are
tied for the second most with two. The Cowboys
played in the most games in the decade with
four appearances. The Steelers are tied with
the Dolphins in appearances with three. Players
such as Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Lynn
Swann, Roger Staubach, and Larry Csonka became
household names considering their great games
in the biggest stage of the season. The 1972
Miami Dolphins can be considered the great
team in NFL history being that they had a
perfect record of 17-0. The San Francisco
49ers would win the most Super Bowls in the
1980's with three. Other than the 49ers there
were not any teams that won multiple times.
One team
that can be considered the great club of all
time is the 1985 Chicago Bears. The Bears
lost only one game during the regular season
and hammered all their opponents culminating
with a dominating 46-10 victory of the New
England Patriots. The Patriots had upset the
Miami Dolphins in the divisional round spoiling
a change to get revenge for the Bears only
loss of the season.
The 1990's saw the Dallas Cowboys win the
most Super Bowls with three. They beat all
their opponent by double digits and firmly
established themselves as the best franchise
in the league. Their only real challenger
was the San Francisco 49ers and the matchups
between the two teams were classic. The past
decade was ruled by the New England Patriots
winning three championships. The Pittsburgh Steelers won
the second most with two. Super Bowl XLVI
will be played at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis.
Last year it was at Dallas Cowboys stadium
which is an massive billion dollar facility
that is an amazing 50 feet below sea level.
Seating was near 90,000 people. The seating
configuration can allow the game to seat as
many as 100,000 people. Jerry Jones was hoping
that his team would make it to the big game
but after a disastrous year they have to regroup.
There are approximately 15,000 club seats.
The High Definition board is 90 feet off the
ground and there is a panoramic 360 view of
the board as there are 4 sides so fans watching
the Super Bowl will not be disappointed. The
boards facing the sidelines are the widest.
Super Bowl 45 in Dallas was a tremendous game.
With the Steelers facing the Packers the match
up is one of the most historic in league history.
If you
are looking for great Super Bowl tickets you
have come to the right place.
